1. Instructors and payments
Instructors operating through Fleetville Driving School are self-employed and work independently. Arrange lesson payments, fees and receipts directly with your allocated instructor. Obtain confirmation of availability before paying.
The booking terms state that transactions with an instructor are between the learner and that instructor. If Fleetville cannot allocate an instructor, payments made directly to the school during booking are refunded in full. The same applies if the allocated instructor becomes unavailable before lessons begin.
2. Unused lesson hours
The booking terms allow a refund of unused lesson hours where a reasonable cause is provided. Requests must be made directly to your instructor and are subject to the conditions agreed at booking.
3. Test readiness and test-day bookings
An instructor may decline to take a learner to a practical test, provide their vehicle or accompany them if the learner has not reached the required standard. The driving test-day package costs £120 and includes a one-hour pre-test driving lesson, use of an insured tuition car during the practical test, and test-day vehicle arrangements. Confirm your appointment and any separately payable DVSA test booking fee with your instructor.
4. Cancellations and rescheduling
At least 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or rearrange a lesson or test booking. Bookings cancelled with less notice may be charged in full. The policy applies to standard lessons, blocks and driving test appointments.
