Six different situations. Explore each one before you book.
Read the road ahead
Build on your observations at junctions, crossings and busy streets. Practise planning for pedestrians, cyclists and changing traffic.
Adapt to the conditions
Discuss visibility, following distances and the effect of rain or other poor conditions. Practical coverage depends on the weather during your course.
Look beyond the next bend
Develop appropriate speed choices, observation and judgement on narrower roads, with bends and less predictable hazards.
Make good decisions after dark
Build experience of reduced visibility, lighting and judging distance. Discuss how to use your lights and recognise hazards early.
Plan your lane and your space
Work on joining, leaving, overtaking and keeping a safe gap. Make decisions early rather than responding at the last moment.
Build confidence on longer journeys
Develop joining and leaving skills, lane discipline and forward planning for motorway traffic. Your instructor assesses your progress throughout.
You are assessed throughout. All modules must reach the required standard.
How your course works
Pass Plus takes at least six hours with a registered instructor. There is no final exam. Your instructor assesses your progress across all six modules, with some theory-based coverage where local conditions make a practical session impractical.
